Fund Raising

All proceeds from our fund-raising events have gone towards our constant endeavours to provide additional equipment and services for those cared for by the staff at the Nightingale Macmillan Unit, Royal Derby Hospital, Derby.

The need for equipment and services will always be present.

We have held a number of fund raising events throughout this last year, please see the events page for details.

In respect of the year 2009/2010, our last fund raising event that the 'Friends' organised was our Christmas Concert which was held on Saturday 5th December 2009 and was a sellout. It was a very enjoyable evening for everyone involved albeit tinged with sadness.
Fund Raising Event
The 'Friends' would like to thank all those individuals, small and large businesses and companies who have supported us over the years and enabled us to support the wonderful work that is carried out by both the professionals and volunteers at the Nightingale Macmillan Unit with the aim of making the lives of those cared for as comfortable as possible and not forgetting their carers.

Please consider completing  a 'GIFT AID DECLARATION'. Using Gift Aid means that for every £ you give, our charity will be able to claim an extra 25 pence from the Customs & Excise, thereby helping your kind donation to go further. This means that £10 can be turned into £12.50, just so long as donations are made through Gift Aid. Imagine what a difference that could make to us by being able to supply services and equipment to those cared for by the Unit much quicker than would otherwise have been possible and it costs you nothing. This has been available to us since 6th April 2000.

The 'GIFT AID DECLARATION' is a very simple form to complete and will take less than two minutes.

Please Click here for a printable form.

Please forward your cheque(s) together with the Gift Aid form directly to NMU Charity Co-Ordinator at the Nightingale Macmillan Unit, to the above address.
